The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services for the community.

SASSA might be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it can be alarmed with regard to the large number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to website reach-out to the substantial range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office committed to service the area regularly. The services place created for intervention encounters a substantial inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it hard with the Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more resources to permit the servicing of all clients and raise usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
